General Questions:

I don’t know my sizes, how do I get started?

Welcome! There are a few ways to get started:

  1. Order Size Kit(s) - Test my various styles, buy any 2 styles and get a 3rd one free(no code needed)! These include 1 unpainted tip in each size, simply for your sizing and reference, read more.

  2. Order Starter/Gift Set(s) - These come in any solid color you like and include 2 nails in each size. You can size and record for the future, but you also have a set you can wear that day, read more.

  3. Guesstimate your sizes using Dime Sizing, see more below.

How do I size my natural nails properly?

Check out my detailed YouTube video for more info if you'd like.

  1. Gently push your cuticles back (this can be done after a shower if you are not applying nails) for the most accurate measurements

  2. Center the press-on and apply light pressure near the cuticle area.

  3. Be sure the tip touches both edges of your natural nail but does not overlap with your skin. If you're not sure, size up and down to see if one feels better.

    • Pro Tip - If you feel you're in between sizes, size up! Tips may shrink under layers of gel. The tips can also be gently filed down to better fit you if needed.

I'm in a rush, how do I guesstimate my sizes today with Dime Sizing?

  1. Rest the fingers of your right hand on the edge of a table next to a dime.

  2. Leave a bit of space between all your fingers and the dime for clarity, but be sure to keep all your nails facing straight up.

  3. Take a clear and steady picture of your nails and the dime from straight above them.

  4. Repeat the first 3 steps with your right thumb.

  5. Repeat steps 1-3 for your left fingers.

  6. Repeat step 4 with your left thumb.

  7. Share these with me so I can guesstimate your sizes for the style(s) you choose

Why press-on size and structure matter?

The size and shape of your press-on claws are important for hygienic purposes, wear time, and strength!

How do I know which style is best for me?

Consider the purpose of the nails, if you are going to wear them during the next 3 weeks of typing at work, perhaps you need Lil Shorties or another Short style.

Maybe you want to try a longer, Medium style to protect and preserve your natural nail growth or to flaunt a longer set than your usual while you're on vacation!

What shapes do you carry?

I offer 8 different nail styles as seen on the Style Guide below:

If you require toe nails to match please inquire. I carry the tips to make what you need but I do not advertise this shape.

How long will my claws last?

  1. The longevity of your set depends primarily on your nail prep before application.

  2. It also depends on your lifestyle and how hard you are on your hands.

  3. Your wear-time may also vary due to your application method and nail care.

*Jai averages 2-3 weeks wear when using liquid glue only!

How do I prep my nails before application?

Avoid prolonged water exposure, like showering 1 hour before and 1 hour after application for best results!

Check out my detailed YouTube video for longterm wear prep if you'd like!

Pro Tip - prep your dominant hand first. You have more patience and focus at the beginning of your prep.

Follow steps below on bare nails:

  1. Use the cuticle softener provided, or another of your faves - spread a drop along cuticles and on nail plate of each nail. Let sit for about 30 sec before using a cuticle pusher.

  2. Push your cuticles back and use the edges or pointed end to carefully and gently scrape the dead skin off the nail plate and cuticle area.

    • Pro Tip - I like to do steps 1 and 2 to 2-3 fingers at a time, the softener can dry up quick and be less effective and easy to push back! Wipe off nails with paper towel if needed. Take your time, better prep is key to longer wear.

  3. Trim the eponychium. This is commonly thought to be the cuticle, if you’re comfortable doing so, trim the dead skin off. This will make application easier and prevent hangnails. I recommend using a sharp pair of cuticle nippers - even if you're a beginner. Using good, sharp tools makes learning easier!

  4. Clip and file your nails as desired, be sure to finish your nail filing going in one direction for stronger free edges.

  5. Buff the nail plate to remove the shine. Get all the way up to your skin to help you buff off any cuticle left on your nail bed.

  6. Clean and dehydrate nails with alcohol pads provided (or a lint free paper towel with alcohol). Be careful not to touch your nail beds or the inside of the press-on tips. The natural oils from your fingers will promote earlier lifting, you’re ready to apply your claws!

Is glue included in my order?

Yes! With any nail set ordered you get a nail prep/ application kit that includes:

  1. A travel size tube of liquid nail glue

  2. A sheet of sticky tabs

  3. Dropper bottle of white cuticle softener

  4. A plastic cuticle pusher/scraper

  5. A travel size nail file and buffer

  6. Two alcohol pads

  7. Dropper bottle of cuticle oil

How do I apply my claws?

*For more visual details, follow me to see carousels and short video aids. Also, check your Custom Order Notion portal for resources if applicable.

Be sure your nails are clean and dehydrated - see prep above for more details!

Pro Tip - If you have very oily skin or work in water, like a swim teacher or hairdresser, try adding a thin layer of PH Bonder to your nail after prep to improve longevity. Allow the bonder to air dry before applying claws.

  1. Apply a good layer of nail glue to your natural nails - avoid your cuticles or using too much glue to avoid a flooding mess.

  2. Apply a thin layer of glue to the press-on claw - get the edges and cuticle so the glue can spread under the tip.

Pro Tip - If you have flat nail beds, or enjoy longer nail styles, I recommend you try using both the sticky tabs and liquid nail glue to fill in the apex space of the press-on and for best adhesion. Remove peel-off layer and apply the tab to the center of your nail or the press-on bed before adding smaller amounts of liquid glue detailed above.

How do I remove and reuse my claws?

How to remove your claws:

  1. Add warm soapy water to a bowl - if you do not have matte claws on, you can add your favorite cuticle oil, olive or baby oil etc.

  2. Soak your claws for 20 minutes. Wiggle your press-ons gently side to side to promote lifting.

  3. Find areas of lifting and gently wiggle the sharp end of the cuticle pusher under the enhancement and let soak as long as needed.

  4. After removal, use the file and buffer to remove any glue residue from your nails

*Be patient and don't force it, this could damage your nails or your claws. Repeat step 3 until the claws pop off easily!

How to reuse your Claws:

  1. After removal, use an electric file (e-file) to remove glue residue from the underside of your claws. This does not need to be perfect, left over texture is good for you next time applying this set!

    • It does not need to be expensive, Walmart usually has a cheap one in stock if you need it right away, otherwise Amazon is another good place to look.

  2. Use a file to gently remove any glue from the edges of your claws. (I I also love the Kiss Glue Remover instead of soak-off removal and filing reuse!)

  3. Clean the enhancements with alcohol and repackage using the tape in your packaging or store as desired with the rest of your nail wardrobe!

    • Use the tabs for sets to be reusable immediately and without filing glue

Can you replace lost nails?

Yes! Nail 911 replacement nails can be ordered in the shop, no matter your design.

How many nails are included in my set?

  • Your set will generally include 10 nails in the sizes you provided.

  • Starter and Gift sets will have 20-24 nails depending on the sizing convention of the nail style you've selected.

  • Replacement nails AKA "Nail 911" contains 2 nails, you can have 2 of the same or choose 2 different replacement nails. Ex: you can choose the middle and ring finger or 2 on the ring finder nail etc.

When will my claws arrive at my door?

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet. I currently only ship to the United States but intend to offer worldwide shipping in 2023!

How can I find my perfect nude shade?
